Workshop with hannah goldstein: Portrait of a City – Photographing Berlin in One Weekend
What does Berlin mean to you - and can you capture that in just a few pictures?
In this two-day photography workshop, participants are invited to create their personal portrait of Berlin. Through focused instruction and feedback in the group, we will explore how to translate a complex, ever-changing city into a visual narrative from just a few photos.
Berlin can be chaotic, calm, poetic, political - sometimes all at the same time. The challenge of the workshop is to reflect your own perspective on the city: What fascinates you? What makes Berlin unique and fascinating for you? Where do you find the spirit of the city?
Photographer and artist Hannah Goldstein will lead the group with visual exercises and thematic tasks designed to sharpen your eye and connect your images with meaning. We take time to photograph and share and provide space for reflection and discussion in a supportive group.
The workshop is open to photographers of all levels. Bring your camera, your curiosity and your version of the city.

Was bedeutet Berlin für dich – und kannst du das in nur wenigen Bildern festhalten?
In diesem zweitägigen Fotografie-Workshop sind die Teilnehmer:innen eingeladen, ein persönliches Porträt von Berlin zu erstellen. Durch gezielte Anleitungen und Feedback in der Gruppe werden wir untersuchen, wie man eine komplexe, sich ständig verändernde Stadt in eine visuelle Erzählung aus nur wenigen Fotos übersetzen kann.
Die Fotografin und Künstlerin hannah goldstein leitet die Gruppe mit visuellen Übungen und thematischen Aufgaben, die Ihr Auge schärfen und Ihre Bilder mit Bedeutung verbinden sollen. Wir nehmen uns Zeit zum Fotografieren und zum Austausch und bieten Raum für Reflexion und Diskussion in einer unterstützenden Gruppe.
Der Workshop ist offen für Fotograf:innen aller Niveaus. Bringen Sie Ihre Kamera, Ihre Neugier und Ihre Version der Stadt mit.
